AppInternals Xpert

Installing AppInternals Xpert™ requires installation of the following components:

• License server - Install on a single Windows, or Red Hat Linux system (usually the same system as the SMP)
• Console - Install the Service Management Platform (SMP) on a single Windows, or Red Hat Linux system
• Collector - Install the Dynamic Sampling Agent (DSA) software on every system you want to monitor with AppInternals Xpert™
• Transaction Trace Warehouse - Install on a single Windows system (can be the same system as the SMP)
• Transaction Trace Analyzer - Install on an unlimited number of Windows desktops to analyze transactions traces downloaded from Transaction Trace Warehouse or the Console (SMP)
  
• OPNET Dashboards - Optional component installed on a single Windows system (can be the same system as the SMP)
• OPNET Authentication Service - Install on a single Windows system (can be the same system as BrowserMetrix or OPNET Dashboards)
• BrowserMetrix - Install on a single Windows system (can be the same system Transaction Trace Warehouse and OPNET Authentication Service)
   

Important Notice

• As with any software installed on production machines, we strongly advise that you ensure that AppInternals Xpert™ Collectors (DSAs) are compatible with your particular environment by testing them on one or more non-mission-critical machines prior to actual deployment.
