1. Announcement Summary
Riverbed Technology hereby announces the end of support dates for several legacy OPNET products. The products noted below have not been available for sale since the End-of-Availability dates in Table 1 below. Customers may continue to order Riverbed support services, on these products, subject to the End of Support details described below.
Table 1 identifies the relevant dates for end-of-availability

2. End-of-Support Details
Release 8.6.2 is the last major software release for the 2100, 3100 and 3150 (10G) appliances. There will be no new-feature releases for these products beyond 8.6.2. Bug fixes for release 8.6.2 will be made available at Riverbed's discretion till the End of Support Hardware/SW Maintenance dates listed above. Hardware support will also be available till the End of Support: Hardware/SW Maintenance dates listed above.
Release 9.0.x is the last major software release for the 3170, 4100 (1G and 10G), Director 100 and 4100 Expansion Chassis appliances. There will be no new-feature releases for these products beyond 9.0.x. Bug fixes for release 9.0.x will be made available at Riverbed's discretion till the End of Support Hardware/SW Maintenance dates listed above. Hardware support will also be available till the End of Support: Hardware/SW Maintenance dates listed above.
Release 7.1.3 is the last major software release for the ARX on RSP virtual appliance. There will be no new-feature releases for this product beyond 7.1.3. Bug fixes for release 7.1.3 will be made available at Riverbed's discretion until the End of Support Hardware/SW Maintenance date listed above.
3. Migration Plan
Customers using these discontinued ARX hardware appliances are encouraged to migrate to the current generation of ARX appliances. For more information, please see: Riverbed ARX Product Family
