End-of-Sale (EOS) Notice

Steelhead® Models SHA150 & SHA250

1. Announcement Summary 

Riverbed Technology hereby announces the end-of-availability of the Steelhead 150 and 250 models. These systems will no longer be available for sale as of Jan 1, 2014. Customers and partners may continue to order these systems from Riverbed through Dec 31, 2013, subject to availability. Customers may continue to order Riverbed support services, on these systems, subject to Riverbed’s end-of-support policy located at at: www.riverbed.com/supportpolicy

Note: 

  • FIPS configured Steelheads that use the SHA150/250 models are not subject to this End of Availability notice and, until further notice from Riverbed, remain available at low volumes for only specific accounts that have FIPS requirements. Please contact your local sales representative for availability and details.
  • VSH150/250 models, spares and upgrades are not subject to this End of Availability notice.

 

2. Migration Plan

Recommended alternatives for above platforms are the currently released Steelhead ® models CX255 which are supported on RiOS 8.0.3a onwards.

3. Refurbished Units (-E Systems)

Riverbed may have refurbished systems available for sale after the above end of sale dates, supply permitting, provided that the above end of support dates shall apply to those refurbished units. Please contact your local sales representative for availability and details.
