End-of-Support (EOS) Notice
Certain Steelhead® EX1160 & EX1260 Models

1. Announcement Summary
Riverbed Technology announced the end-of-availability for certain Steelhead EX1160 and EX1260 models on June 2, 2014. These models were replaced by versions of the same platform with higher onboard memory and have not been available for sale since September 1, 2014.
This announcement provides an explicit End-of-Feature support date, now December 31, 2017 and extends the End-of-Support for Hardware from December 31, 2019 to December 31, 2020, which was communicated via notice issued May 15, 2015. These updates will enable the EX1160 / 1260 models with lower onboard memory to now be on the same Support duration as the remaining EX (xx60) product family, with the exception of countries that require the importation of “New Only” service replacement parts. These countries are:
- Indonesia
- Pakistan
- Vietnam
- Bangladesh
- Argentina
- Brazil
- India
- Colombia
The EOS date for these countries will remain at 8/31/2019
