End-of-Availability (EOA) Notice

1. Announcement Summary

Riverbed Technology hereby announces the end-of-availability of SteelCentral NetProfiler and Flow Gateway Virtual Editions. These products (and associated upgrade options) will no longer be available for sale effective December 1, 2019.  Customers and partners may continue to order these products from Riverbed through November 30, 2019.

Customers may continue to order Riverbed support services for these products subject to Riverbed's end-of-availability and end-of-support policy located at: www.riverbed.com/supportpolicy

In addition, subscription versions of these products will no longer be available for sale effective December 1, 2019.  Customers and partners that have an active paid subscription period may continue to use those subscription products from Riverbed until the end of their current subscription period.

The tables below identify the relevant dates for end-of-availability and end-of-support.

2. Migration Plan 

The migration path for the SteelCentral NetProfiler and Flow Gateway products listed in the tables above are the newly introduced NetProfiler Virtual Edition SKUs SCNP-VE-BASE, SCNP-VE-EXP, SCNP-VE-DP, and SCFG-VE=BASE.  These new models allow NetProfiler and Flow Gateway Virtual Editions to scale up to 30 million and 6 million de-duplicated flows per minute respectively.  Additionally, they offer identical feature and function when compared to the physical appliance editions.  Please refer to the Riverbed® SteelCentral™ NetProfiler product page and the Riverbed® SteelCentral™ NetProfiler data sheet for additional information.

For a limited time, Riverbed is offering a trade up program for the NetProfiler and Flow Gateway Virtual Editions.  This trade up program offers customers that own products listed in the tables above with active, paid maintenance and support plans the option to migrate to the newly introduced NetProfiler Virtual Edition SKUs SCNP-VE-BASE, SCNP-VE-EXP, SCNP-VE-DP, and SCFG-VE=BASE at no additional cost.  The trade up program is effective October 17, 2019 and runs through December 1, 2020.  For more information, contact your Riverbed account representative.
