Common VSP Settings
You configure common VSP settings in the Common VSP Settings page.
For details about common VSP settings, see the SteelHead Management Console User’s Guide for SteelHead EX.
Note: The VSP allocated disk space that appears under allocated resources on the Virtual Services Platform page is independent of legacy VSP volume usage.
Complete the configuration as described in this table.

License Key - Specify the license key.
Push Settings
Push RiOS NTP Settings to ESXi - Select this option to push RiOS NTP settings to ESXi.
VNC Settings
Enable VNC - Select this option to enable VNC. Enables the use of a VNC (virtual network computing) client to connect to the direct console user interface (DCUI) of the ESXi server.
Port - Specify a port. By default, a VNC client uses port 5900.
Password - Specify a password. The password must have a maximum of eight characters.
Password Confirm - Confirm a password.
Password Settings
ESXi Password - Specify the ESXi password. The password must meet the default ESXi password complexity requirements. For detailed information on password complexity, see http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1012033.
A valid password requires the use of upper and lower case letters, digits, and other characters. A password that begins with and upper case letter and ends with a numerical digit does not count towards the number of character classes used. Riverbed recommends that the password does not contain the username.
ESXi Password Confirm - Confirms the ESXi password.
Important: If you change the ESXi password in VNC or vSphere, you must also change it on this page. Changing the ESXi password using VNC or vSphere triggers the ESXi Communication Failed alarm in RiOS. When the passwords are not synchronized, RiOS cannot communicate with ESXi.
