About Data Stores
Appliance data stores are a integral component of the acceleration service. They store the scalable data references that are critical to acceleration. As traffic enters appliances, it is indexed and stored in segments, and references representing that data are stored in appliance data stores on both sides of your WAN. Segments of data that have been seen before aren’t transferred across the WAN again, only the references to them are, greatly reducing and accelerating your network traffic.
Data store synchronization is not supported over IPv6.
Data store settings provide the ability to specify encryption, synchronization with other data stores, branch warming, wrap notifications, and other performance features.
As with many appliance features, you must restart the acceleration service after changing settings. You can verify that your changes have your desired effect by examining the relevant information in the Networking or Optimization reports.
