nCircle vulnerability scans
The nCircle scanner must be configured using its GUI, as described in the nCircle documentation. Once it is configured, you can use the NetProfiler Configuration > Integration > Vulnerability Scanning page to select among certain options that are configured on the nCircle scanner.
Note: When you create a new account on the nCircle device for the NetProfiler to use, if you set the account to force a password change upon the first login, then log in to the account using the nCircle user interface to validate the user name and password credentials before connecting to it via the NetProfiler. The NetProfiler has no way to process a popup dialog that requests a password change.
To configure Quick scans and Deep scans by a nCircle scanner:
-
Go to the Administration > Integration > Vulnerability Scanning page.
-
Select the Quick Scan or Deep Scan tab, as applicable.
-
Select nCircle from the Scanner list box.
-
Fill in the Host name and Port fields with the IP address or the resolvable DNS host name and port number of the nCircle device.
-
Click Apply.
-
Use the Authentication and Settings buttons to open pages for specifying the remaining information.
