Viewing and modifying exports
You can view, filter, and configure exports in the Find Exports pane. You can also bring exports online, take them offline, unmount them from a Core, or unmap them from an Edge.
To find exports in the export list
1. Choose Configure > NFS: Exports to display the Exports page.
2. In the Find Exports pane, start typing an export name to narrow down the view to a particular export or group of exports.
Any matching results are displayed dynamically in the table.
To configure an export
1. Choose Configure > NFS: Exports to display the Exports page.
2. Click the right arrow to expand the export you want to configure.
3. Configure the export.

Description
Take Offline
Click to take the selected export(s) offline. Before offlining an NFS export, you should unmount it as a datastore from the ESXi server. You can’t include an Edge Local Export when taking more than one export offline.
Note: When you offline an export, its association with an Edge is preserved. All data is removed from the Edge blockstore and it is no longer available, unless brought back online.
Bring Online
Click to bring the selected export(s) online. After performing this operation, you must pin and prepopulate the exports. You can’t include an Edge Local Export when bringing more than one export online.
Unmap
Click to unmap the selected export from the Edge. This button is only enabled when an offlined export is selected.
Unmount
Click to unmount the export from the Core. This button is only enabled when an offlined and unmounted export is selected.
Export details
Displays the following details for the selected export:
Directory - The directory of the export on the backend storage array.
Edge - The Edge that the export is currently mapped to.
Storage Array - The storage array that the export directory is mounted from.
Availability - Specifies whether the export is online, offline, or not connected.
Size - Specifies the capacity (in GiB) of the export.
To modify an export
1. Choose Configure > NFS: Exports to display the Exports page.
2. Click the right arrow to expand the export you want to modify.
Note: Exports in a Core high-availability configuration are read-only when the Core is in Active-Solo mode.
3. Modify the export.
Control
Description
Size
Displays the size of the current export.
Paths
•  Edge - Displays the Edge that the export is mapped to.
•  Edge NFS Export Directory - Displays the export directory on the backend storage array that is associated with the Edge.
Access Control
Displays permissions for the currently selected export. Click Modify to change these settings.
Pin and Prepopulation
Displays the pin status for the currently selected export. Click Modify to display the Pin and Prepopulate window. In this window you can pin and prepopulate the export or just pin it (no prepopulation). If the export is already pinned, you can enable prepopulation.
Delete Export
Click to delete the selected Edge Local Export. This option isn’t available for remote exports.
