End-of-Availability (EOA) Notice

A-la-Carte SKUs for SteelHead SCA / SaaS: O365 and SFDC

1. Announcement Summary

Riverbed Technology hereby announces the end-of-availability of the A-la-Carte subscription option for SteelHead SaaS, also known as SteelHead Cloud Accelerator. These purchase options will no longer be available for sale effective May 31, 2016.

Current customers will be maintained and supported until the end of the paid subscription period. At that moment, they may elect to subscribe to the Universal SaaS service that includes the current A-la-Carte options (Office 365 and Salesforce) and all the new SaaS applications being added.

Table 1 identifies the relevant dates for end-of-availability and end-of-support.

2. MIGRATION PLAN

Current A-la-Carte subscriptions will be valid until the acquired subscription end date. At the time that an A-la-Carte subscription expires, the customer should purchase the newer Universal SaaS SKUs for replacement.

The Universal SaaS SKUs are:

SHSAAS-SUB-USR-PACK SteelHead SaaS - optimization for SaaS applications subscription (O365, SalesForce, Box, etc.) - 10 user pack
SHSAAS-USR-PACK-E Eval SteelHead SaaS - optimization for SaaS applications (O365, SalesForce, Box, etc.) - 10 user pack
SHSAAS-ADDON-PTO Steelhead Cloud Accelerator SHSAAS Add-On PTO Model


Notes:

  1. Version 9.1 of RiOS is needed to be able to use Universal SaaS.
  2. Migration to Universal SaaS is not an automatic process. For customers who have A-la-Carte and Universal SaaS subscription license enabled on the same SteelHead appliance, at the same time, A-la-Carte would take precedence.
  3. Therefore, the preferred method is to wait until the end of the term of the A-la-Carte subscription that the customer has acquired and then migrate to the Universal SaaS options above.
