Initializing storage units
When a base unit boots, it detects connected and powered up storage units. After each storage unit has been initialized manually, the storage unit’s identity is stored by the base unit and the storage unit is formatted as RAID 0 storage by default.
If other storage units are connected and powered on after a base unit boots, they are detected immediately, without any need to reboot the base unit. The storage units will need to be initialized manually. Their "Status:" will be "active” and "In Use:” is “yes" indicating that packet storage is configured on the storage unit.
