AppResponse 11 monitors network traffic seen on taps or on mirror (SPAN) ports of switches and routers while performing traffic analysis and high-speed packet capture. AppResponse 11 runs on SteelCentral appliances that can be ordered with various storage and interface options. The models, including storage unit (SU) options available for the SCAN-06170 or SCAN-08170 base units, appear below.

Supported ARX appliances, 1200, 2200. 3300, 3800, 4300, 5100, and 6000 can be upgraded to run AppResponse 11. This document includes the installation process for AppResponse 11 on these appliances. The process to preserve AppResponse traffic information and to transfer configuration information to AppResponse 11 is addressed in the Release Notes for AppResponse 9.6.2.
