ip security ike authentication
Configures packet integrity algorithm. Internet Key Exchange (IKE) is the protocol that ensures a secure, authenticated communications channel between two peers.
Syntax
ip security ike authentication {mode <mode> | policy <policy>}
Parameters
mode [<mode>]
Specify the IKE authentication mode:
• shared-secret—Enables shared secret mode. All the SteelHeads in a network for which you want to use IPsec must have the same shared secret.
• certificate—Enables certificate mode.
policy [<policy>]
Specify the IKE authentication policy:
• md5—Enables MD5 security protocol.
• sha1—Enables SHA security protocol.
• sha256—Enables the SHA-256 cryptographic hash function.
• sha384—Enables the SHA-386 cryptographic hash function.
• sha512—Enables the SHA-512 cryptographic hash function.
Example
amnesic (config) # ip security ike authentication mode shared_secret
amnesiac (config) # ip security ike authentication mode certificate
