Distribute updates to associated Alluvio appliances

After you upload a new software update to the NetProfiler, you can distribute the update to all Sensor, Sensor-VE and Flow Gateway appliances that are connected to it.

To distribute update packages,

1. On the Administration > System Operations > Updates page, open the Associated Alluvio Products section.

2. Click Distribute auto-downloaded updates now to send all available update packages to the appliances listed in the Associated Alluvio Products section.   more

This does not install the updates. Installation must be performed on each appliance individually.

To install an update package on an associated appliance,

1. In the Associated Alluvio Products section of the Administration > System Operations > Update page, click the name or IP address of the appliance. This opens a login page on the appliance.

2. Log in to the appliance using an administrator-level account and navigate to the Administration > System Operations > Updates page of that appliance.

3. Select the update version to be installed, configure email notifications if necessary, and click Install Updates Now.
