Install an update package
If you want to install an update that was previously downloaded to your local machine or which is located on a remote server,

In the Add a different update version section of the Administration > System Operations > Update page.

Either:

select Upload file and then browse to the update file on your local machine, or

select Remote file URL and enter the full URL of the remote server, including the update file name. For example, https://zone.domain.com/downloads/update.iso.

Click Upload Now or Fetch Now, as applicable. The update will be downloaded and added to Update to version list.
Next, start the installation:

In the Configure Notifications section of the page, enter the semicolon-separated list email addresses or recipient lists to which a notice should be sent when the update succeeds or fails.

Click Install Update Now. The update process begins immediately. All users are logged off the appliance. Your browser is redirected to a page that displays a progress bar indicating the percentage of completion of the update and an estimate of how much more time is required.
After update process completes, your browser is redirected to the login page and the appliance sends an email to the addresses on the notification list, notifying them of the completion status.

When the update succeeds or fails, the appliance sends an email to the addresses on the notification list, notifying them of the completion status.

When you log back into the appliance, you can return to the Update page and check that the current version is the version to which you have updated.
After you have updated this appliance and as you update all other Alluvio appliances that are connected to it, the system automatically synchronizes all components running the new software version.
