Reallocating flow log storage space

Increasing the disk space allocation for a flow log increases the length of time the flow log can retain data before it is overwritten with new data. Reducing the disk space allocation for a flow log may result in older data being lost from that flow log.

To reallocate disk space among flow logs:

  1. Go to the Administration > Flow Log page Disk Allocation tab.

  2. Click Reallocate.... This displays a section showing the current disk allocation for the flow logs of each data resolution.

  3. Edit the Allocation fields for your new values. For best results, your new values should total an even 100%. To see the impact any individual change on its corresponding retention time, click outside the edit field after entering the new value.

  4. When you are finished specifying the new allocations, click Apply.
