About High Availability : Edge high availability

Edge high availability
The Edge appliance presents itself as an file server for exports to ESXi hypervisors in one or both of the following modes:
Storage is resident in the RiOS node and is accessed using externally to the appliance by the hypervisor node. In this mode, the hypervisor running in the hypervisor node is acting as the client.
Storage is accessed on a hypervisor host that is external to the Edge.
In the unlikely event of failure or a scheduled loss of service due to planned maintenance, you may need an alternative way to access the storage and ensure continued availability of services in the branch. Deploying two Edges in a high availability (HA) configuration enables this access.
