The Management Console enables you to manage your SteelHead through a web browser interface. After you have installed the SteelHead and performed the initial configuration, you can finish customizing your SteelHead through the Management Console.

The Management Console supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Internet Explorer. JavaScript and cookies must be enabled in your web browser.

If you prefer command-line tools, you can use the Riverbed command-line interface to perform configuring and monitoring tasks. For details, see the Riverbed Command-Line Interface Reference Manual.

If you want to manage your SteelHeads through the SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead (SCC), you’ll need to use an SCC running the same software version as the SteelHeads you want to manage.
