Adding a WinSec Controller appliance
WinSec Controller is a standalone, dedicated tier-0 appliance for security-specific functions. WinSec Controller provides a method for performing security functions for server-side SteelHead appliances without compromising Microsoft-recommended security best practices. For details, see the WinSec Controller User Guide.
To add a WinSec Controller
1. Choose Optimization > Active Directory: WinSec Controller.
2. Complete the configuration as described in this table.
Control
Description
Add a New WinSec Controller
Displays the controls for adding a new WinSec Controller.
Server
Specify the IP address or the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) for the WinSec Controller.
Port
Specify the WinSec Controller service port for this host. The value must be a number from 1 to 65535.
Priority
Optionally, specify the priority for this host. The value must be a number from 1 to 255. The default value is 1.
Add
Click Add to add the WinSec Controller to your deployment.
Remove Selected
Select the check box next to the name and click Remove Selected.
