About HTTPS communication channel
Previously, appliances communicated with the SCC using SSH. Now, they can also use an HTTPS channel over TCP port 9443. This HTTPS channel is used for new hybrid networking features like path selection, QoS, and secure transport.
For managed appliances, both the SSH and HTTPS connections must be active. If either connection is down, any configuration push from the SCC will fail. For example, if the HTTPS connection is down, the SCC won't be able to push hybrid network settings to the appliances.
