About site connectivity templates
You define site connectivity templates in the Sites & Networks page.
A site connectivity template is a configuration tool used to define common uplink properties that apply across multiple sites. You create these templates in the Sites & Networks page. If you have several sites with similar uplinks, using a site connectivity template helps streamline the setup by defining shared uplink properties once and applying them to multiple sites.
When you apply a site connectivity template to a site, the uplinks from the template are copied to the site. However, any changes to the template won’t affect sites that have already received the template’s uplinks. After applying the template, you can still configure site-specific settings for the uplinks.
Site connectivity templates are helpful for defining consistent configurations across multiple sites. For example, when adding a SteelHead to a new site, you can use a template to quickly apply the same settings. The template can also include a description, which is useful for new network administrators, ensuring they understand the configuration's purpose and usage.
