SD-WAN Management Nodes

Flow Gateway receives SD-WAN information from NetFlow and sends it to NetProfiler. Flow Gateway needs to be configured as the NetFlow export destination for the Cflowd policy of the vManage node. The SD-WAN Management Nodes page in NetProfiler lets you view and monitor the status of the SD-WAN management nodes.  From here you can also add new management nodes or edit, delete, or disable existing management nodes.

Configuration information is polled automatically every 24 hours and the latest polling time is listed in the table. Interface groups are automatically created based on the SD-WAN site and overlay definitions. The status line indicates if polling is enabled or disabled as well as any warnings or errors. You can also manually initiatiate polling for configuration information by clicking the Poll All Configurations button.

Performance statistics are polled at 10-minute intervals.

Note

  • NetProfiler must have REST API access to vManage nodes.
  • Statistics collection for Approute should be enabled on vManage nodes.

Receiving SD-WAN information from Flow Gateway

  • "Loopback" must be as the value for "Source Interface" parameter

Adding vManage Nodes on the NetProfiler

To configure polling of the vManage node NetProfiler, do the following:

  1. In the SD-WAN Management Nodes page (Administration > Integration > SD-WAN), click Add.
  2. Specify the IP address or hostname, username, and password for the vManage node. Note that the vManage user must belong to a standard or custom user group that has privileges that are equal to or greater than the operator user group. This grants read-only access to NetProfiler and enables polling of vManage resources.
  3. Select Enabled, to enable polling for this node.
  4. Click OK.
