About WinSec Controller
WinSec Controller is a standalone, dedicated tier-0 appliance for security-specific functions. It provides a method for performing security functions for server-side SteelHead appliances without compromising Microsoft-recommended security best practices.
We strongly recommend using WinSec Controller over other domain authentication methods for its security and ease of use.
On the SteelHead, settings to register WinSec Controllers are under Optimization > Active Directory: WinSec Controller.
Server specifies the IP address or the FQDN for the controller.
Port specifies the controller host’s service port. The value must be a number from 1 to 65535.
