SaaS Accelerator Quick Start Checklist
To help you get up and running quickly, here is a checklist to set up the SaaS Accelerator service. All the activities listed here are explained in
Chapter: Configuring SaaS Acceleration.Add your SaaS Accelerator license
_ Redeem your token in SAM to activate your license.
Configure SaaS Accelerator
_ Configure SSL optimization by establishing trust between the SaaS Accelerator and end-user machines. (Not applicable to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Stream)
_ Distribute the root CA certificate from SAM to end-user machines that will accelerate SaaS traffic. This task is not required if you are using your organization’s CA or you are using SteelHead Mobile to accelerate SaaS traffic. (Not applicable to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Stream.)
_ Configure SaaS applications for acceleration.
Configure client-side appliances or the Mobile Controller
_ Register clients or the Mobile Controller using the registration token from SAM.
_ Enable SSL optimization.
_ Move client-side appliances or the Mobile Controller to the whitelist on SAM.
_ Enable SaaS acceleration.
_ Add application-based in-path rules to accelerate the deployed SaaS applications.
Configure the SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead
To configure SaaS acceleration on managed appliances using SCC, perform these tasks:
_ Register the SCC with SaaS Accelerator.
_ Using the SCC, register the managed appliances with SAM.
_ Move the SCC and managed appliances to the whitelist on SAM.
_ Enable SSL optimization in the SCC policy that includes SaaS acceleration.
_ Enable SaaS Accelerator in the SCC policy that includes SaaS acceleration.
_ Add an application-based in-path rule, in the SCC policy, to accelerate the deployed SaaS applications.
_ Push the policy to the managed appliances.
