Welcome to the SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead (Virtual Edition) Installation Guide. This guide describes how to install and configure the SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead (virtual edition)
(SCC-VE).
Audience
This guide is written for storage and network administrators who are familiar with administering and managing WANs using common network protocols such as TCP, CIFS, HTTP, FTP, and NFS.
This guide assumes you’re familiar with configuring the SteelHead CX, SteelHead EX, and Interceptor.
This guide includes information relevant to these products and product features:
•  Riverbed SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead (SCC)
•  SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead (virtual edition) (SCC-VE)
•  Riverbed SteelHead (SteelHead)
•  Riverbed Optimization System (RiOS)

The pipe symbol separates alternative, mutually exclusive elements of a choice. The pipe symbol is used in conjunction with braces or brackets; the braces or brackets group the choices and identify them as required or optional: {delete <filename> | upload <filename>}
