Views and Charts
A Packet Analyzer Plus view depicts a specific set of calculations that can be applied to a source, whether a live interface or a trace file or trace clip. The calculations that define a view are known as view metrics, and these metrics are presented visually, as charts. Graphical elements within each chart are selectable, such as bars within a bar chart and time intervals within a strip chart. Packet Analyzer Plus provides a large set of views that are built-in and ready to be applied to sources. Views can be used in conjunction with filters to display very specific network information, and can be used in conjunction with policies to generate alerts when network traffic matches specific criteria.
Views can be customized by saving them to a different name and applying filters to them.
WinPcap or Npcap (or both) must be installed on the Windows host in order for Packet Analyzer Plus to analyze traffic running over local interfaces, and Packet Analyzer Plus will warn you if neither of these is installed. If you have Wireshark installed, WinPcap is included as part of the Wireshark installation. Alternatively, you can download and install WinPcap explicitly from https://www.winpcap.org/ , and Npcap from https://nmap.org/npcap/. You will need to restart Packet Analyzer Plus if you install either of these after starting Packet Analyzer Plus.
