IP SLA Views
Once IP SLA tests are configured on Cisco and Juniper devices, NetIM polls the MIB tables for the results and displays the results on the IP SLA page and on the IP SLA tab on all Object pages, thereby allowing you to view, navigate, and search all of all your Cisco and Juniper IP SLA tests.
To work with the IP SLA page, follow these steps:
1. Login to the NetIM UI.
2. Navigate to MORE->IP SLA. The following screen appears:
The IP SLA page consists of the following two frames:
– Details Frame
– Top-N Reports Frame
IP SLA Details Frame
The IPA SLA Details frame consists of several columns of salient IP SLA test information that give you the ability to search, sort, and filter the table of tests. You can also drill-down to the specific test, source/target site, or source/target device of the test., as show in the following screen:
The columns displayed are user-configurable and determined by the Column Layout widget at the right of the frame, as shown in the following screen:
The IP SLA Details frame supports drill-downs to the following:
• Test Name - provides details of the IP SLA test being executed, as shown in the following screen
• Source - provides details of the device being tested by displaying the IP SLA tab of the source device page that contains all the IP SLA tests associated with that device, as shown in the following screen:
• Source Site - provides details of the site where the device is located, by displaying the IP SLA tab of that site page, as shown in the following screen:
• Target - provides details of the target of the IP SLA test, by displaying the IP SLA tab of the target device page, as shown in the following screen:
• Target Site - provides details of the site where the target is located, by displaying the IP SLA tab of the target site page, as shown in the following screen:
• Metrics - provides quick view of user-selected metrics over time, as shown in the following screen:
After selecting metrics of interest, click on the Add Selected button to see a histogram of those metrics, as shown in the following screen:
Top-N Reports Frame
The IPA SLA Top-N Reports frame consists of several salient IP SLA test Top-N reports for metrics associated with the IP SLA tests, as show in the following screen:
