End-of-Availability (EOA) Notice

Steelhead Models: SHA2050, SHA5050, SHA6050 & SHA7050

1. Announcement Summary 

Riverbed Technology hereby announces the end-of-availability of the Steelhead 2050/5050/6050/7050 models. These systems will no longer be available for sale as of
July 1, 2013. Customers and partners may continue to order these systems from Riverbed through June 30, 2013, subject to availability. Customers may continue to order Riverbed support services, on these systems, subject to Riverbed's end-of-support policy locatedat: www.riverbed.com/supportpolicy

Note:

  • FIPS configured Steelheads that use the above models are not subject to this End of Availability notice and, until further notice from Riverbed, remain available at low volumes for only specific accounts that have FIPS requirements. Please contact your local sales representative for availability and details.
  • Component spares and upgrades are not subject to this End of Availability notice.

 

2. Migration Plan

Recommended alternatives for above platforms are the currently shipping Steelhead models CX1555/5055/7055 models which are supported on RiOS 7.0.5 and 8.0 onwards.

3. Refurbished Units (-E Systems)

Riverbed may have refurbished systems available for sale after the above end of sale dates, supply permitting, provided that the above end of support dates shall apply to those refurbished units. Please contact your local sales representative for availability and details.
