1. Announcement Summary

Riverbed recently acquired CACE Technologies. In an effort to give customers insight into how long we will continue to support former CACE Technologies' products, which are no longer available, we are providing you this notice.

Table 1 identifies the relevant dates for end-of-availability and end-of-support:

Note: Spares and upgrades are not subject to this end-of-availability notice.

2. Migration Plan

Customers looking to purchase additional Shark Appliance kits can purchase Cascade Shark Appliances instead. Shark Appliances offer the same functionality as the kits, but delivered on an appliance.

3. End-of-Support

Riverbed will continue to offer software support for the Shark Appliance Kits through 1/1/2013. The last supported release will be Shark/Pilot 3.0. The Shark Appliance Kit software may only be installed and used on the NIC card provided with the kits and Riverbed will not support any software loaded on any other NIC card or hardware.
