End-of-Availability (EOA) Notice XX20 and XX50 FIPS Kits
For Internal and Partner release March 13, 2014
1. Announcement Summary
Riverbed Technology hereby announces the End-of-Availability of the following FIPS kits. These kits will no longer be available for sale effective June 13, 2014. Customers and partners may continue to order these kits from Riverbed through June 12, 2014. Customers may continue to order Riverbed support services subject to Riverbed’s end-of-availability and end-of-support policy.
Table 1 identifies the relevant dates for end-of-availability and end-of-support. End-of-support, for the following kits, is based on the previously announced end-of-support date(s), for the model, in which these add-ons reside.

2. Migration Plan
New software only license SKUs and associated maintenance SKUs are available for the xx50 systems for customers requiring FIPS. Customers requiring FIPS support must upgrade to a new release of RiOS at version 8.5.1 or higher, and either use their previously purchased FIPS license key (previously purchased with one of the above FIPS kit) or purchase a new FIPS license. Note that customers may upgrade their RiOS release, only, if they have an active maintenance contract on that product. No replacement kits or FIPS software licenses are available for any of the xx20 systems.
